Lightbulb Question: League scheduling

Hey folks,

I have a question for you. Currently, a full Perfect Team season gets completed in 7 days, Monday to Sunday. That means the Playoffs run on every Sunday. Now, is this a good thing? After all, only 10 teams qualify for the Postseason, so two thirds of teams do not play on Sundays, which traditionally is a day where most people actually would have time to Play PT.

We could move it a day forward, so the Pennant races would be on a Sunday, and the Playoffs on Mondays, so that the new season kicks off on a Tuesday.

Thoughts?

Thanks for your feedback!
Markus

I don't care either. Once we are on a permanent schedule after Beta, we should all easily adjust. The only thing I see is that the majority are probably off Sunday and could maybe watch a little closer during the all important playoffs

I like playoffs on Sundays. 1. Being off that day (as with many people), I'd be able to really focus on my team; and (2), even if I'm not in the playoffs, it would still be decent entertainment to watch how my rivals do.

I'm off on sundays too, but with a little kid at home, weekends are usually the time when I don't get too play as much as I get to on weekdays. So I vote tue - mon

One way or another, whenever the World Series is on, I will be asleep. However, there is something said about being able to fine-tune the lineup during the early stages of the postseason (like I will ever get there ), so Monday-Sunday for me.

I voted Monday to Sunday, just so we don't have to have a day off waiting to start until Tuesday.

If you changed to start the leagues on Tuesday instead of Monday, you'd have have Monday off, right? Just for the week the change was made...

No, it would run from Tuesday to Monday instead of Monday to Sunday. No day off. 6 days for the regular season, 1 day for the playoffs.

I think his point is that there would be a Monday off *once* when the change is made?

The start/end day doesn't matter to me.
I would prefer an earlier daily start; maybe 4 hours. I am USA east coast & the daily start is 10AM for me.
Just my preference, we have many time zones and life styles to consider.

No, we would introduce this after beta ends, while all teams are still in the entry pool.

Yeah, I'd rather miss the playoffs and have no game on a Sunday then to make the playoffs and be unable to keep up with them while I'm at work on Monday..

I second this, but then again I've always hated 8-10PM starts in real life leagues. When I become president the West Coast will either conform to East coast time, or we'll chisel them off and push them into the ocean.

Does a new season begin Monday?
Same players on team if it does?

Would hate to miss managing my team in the playoffs on a Monday since OOTP isn't accessible at work. If it were web-based and mobile then it would be a moot point.
