Reserve for 14 days?

Well. The first thing I did was put all of my players on the reserve roster so that I can build my roster the way that I want.

It only gave me the warning about having to stay there for 14 days after the game moved everyone so I don't have a roster and I guess I'll see you in 2 weeks?

The game should move enough players to your roster to fill it out before you start playing games.

Also, that's 14 in-game days, which will take 7 hours.

I will say, though, it would be nice if this warning came up first - recommended behavior might be to give you the popup PRIOR to assigning the player, and have the popup include the "Don't display this warning in the future" option.

Because although I wanted to do it, the first time I moved someone to "Reserve" I thought it a bit odd I was told after-the-fact.

I'll be honest. I don't fully understand the reason or difference between reserve and inactive

why is there an inactive list?

I've messed this up a couple of times, too.

That 14 day ban shouldn't start until you hit submit IMHO.

Yeah, click and drag the wrong player and you're out of luck. I think the pop-up warning should come with a Cancel button. Just the usual "Are you sure you want to remove J. Unknown from your active roster?" deal.

Because otherwise the league files would be bloated and downloads too big. Imagine every team having 2000 players.

The inactive list is also so we can keep our reserve list clean and relevant to the season. When I want to play an all-Cubs season, I can reactivate them and deactivate players I don't need but want to keep.

The active roster and reserves should be relevant to what you want to play and that might change over the year. A full reserve roster would be unmanageable!

ok, so lets see if I understand this

putting them on reserve list retains their league statistics and keeps them tied to the league file, and inactive wipes them from the league completely?

Yeah, correct.

The idea is that you keep players you might use on the reserve roster, but players you won't use but still want to keep the card for collecting purposes go on the inactive list.
