Having that many Romeros doesn't seem totally uncommon. Having that many picked within a few picks makes me wonder if an alphabetic sort got mixed into our draft AI... Was this just a standard rookie draft?

round 29? yeah, probably re-using the same 'list' even with scouting inaccuracy by that time.. ie all junk and ~equivalent. each gm sees them in same rank order of reference, lol.

bet there's similarities between those GM's, or simply due to how late in draft it is that the sliders don't differentiate enough to choose a different 'next' player.

still enough 'randomness' built in for it to inherently not occur outside of 100% junk players at end.

names aren't distributed by letter when created are they? as in playerid would also be in same order? shouldn't even need to read/know/use the names for the process.

This was a historical league starting in 2003 and this is the 2004 rookie draft.

Yeah, I was wondering if there was some alphabetical thing going on. There's lots of R-names around that point. Some other rounds you see lots of M-names or whatever. I've attached the html files for the 20-29th rounds, 30-39th rounds, 40-49th rounds but with the file extension changed from .html to .txt. Let me know if you want anything else.

Yeah. I bet the AI is trying to sort by whatever evaluation it uses, and when it all comes up as the same (because the players basically all suck), it is just backstopping to sort by name as a tiebreaker.
