Rainouts Not being re-scheduled
Getting towards the end of a season, and when previewing the upcoming games, I noticed that some of the previous rainouts were never rescheduled. I don't know for sure (going off memory); but, I believe a couple of things could be the cause: a) the rescheduled game was rained out, and doesn't reschedule at that point; and/or b) a team had a rainout near the season's end with only 1 off day remaining league wide, and already had a different makeup game scheduled for that off day. I think it replaced the previous makeup game with the most recent one, thus eliminating the previous makeup game as it wasn't re-scheduled.
Has anyone else noticed this? |

It shouldn't happen - I believe we should always reschedule the games, even if it pushes the end of the season back. If you go to the league schedule game of the original or rainout date, it should tell you when the game was rescheduled for.

Thanks. It looks like it has been re-scheduled. The interesting thing is, it was re-scheduled for a day in the next series between the 2 teams, regardless of location/home team. So, there's 2 games in 1 day between the 2 teams; but, it's not a doubleheader, the 2 games are in different cities (each having 1 home game).

And for the record, the "home" and "home" doubleheader was scheduled after the original "rescheduled" game was rained out.
It rescheduled to that day instead of utilizing an available off day or adding to the end of the season. |

Yes, that is actually a normal procedure at times, especially late in the season when there aren't a lot of choices left. If you actually notice, though, the game will still be held in the park of the one team, however the other team will be the "home" team for the game.
ie. if CHC@STL was rescheduled on the same day as a STL@CHC day, then the game will be played in Chicago, but STL will bat 2nd and be the home team for the game. |

Although, in the OP situation, I will go in and delete the extra game scheduled on the Monday after if it doesn't involve a post-season race. In some cases, I will let them play if a Game 163 or a makeup involving playoff implications is being played. |
