Managing International Teams Is Broken

Managing international teams in this game is broken as is. You cannot set your lines as each time you try to do so it takes you to the lines of the Montreal Canadians. You cannot even dress or scratch your players properly. Has anybody had any success getting this feature to work in FHM5?

There was a bug like that, but it was fixed in 5.3.39, and as far as I can see it's working properly now, even on older saves. What version are you using? If it's updated, we may need to see the save.

it's still doing it with my career, and i'm using the newest version

Problem I had with trying to run a national team in the current version is that there's no way to have the AI set up your lines. And similarly attempting to change a player's role takes you to Montreal's roster page. Only way I could get my lines set up without me manually doing it was to wait until the screen before the game starts and set it there, but then I can't change anything like the goalies. I'm not really sure if that's intended for the fix.

Also not possible to select the players for your team. When the tournament begins and lists possible players, right clicking only gives options for your normal team (like add them to your shortlist) instead of an option to add them to the team. So I had to just let the AI set up my team.

There was no "Add Player" option for anyone on the possible players list when you right-clicked? How far were you from the first day of the tournament?

I know this is a few months old and it is stated it is fixed, but I have a new game on 5.6.58 and I am still having this problem with international teams. Couldn't add players and also once added (by using AI assign players) I can't set roles. If I try to do anything with roles it takes me to the Montreal Canadiens lines page. Even trying to have the AI assign roles does nothing. I can submit my game if helpful.

I can have AI set lines, just not roles.

Also, I was on day of first game in tournament, but even after simming that, it is still a problem.

Yes, upload it, please. Seems to be tough to replicate for some reason, but if you're still getting that we definitely need to check it again.

Yeah, should be in the next update, Sebastian thinks he's found the problem. It looked bad at first, but fortunately turned out to be mostly an interface issue, so it's not going to require major internal changes.
