Allow rained out games involving eliminated teams to not be made up
So currently in OOTP there is no way for a season to end unless all the scheduled games are played. The start of the postseason is often delayed so that meaningless games can be made up. In real life, these games are often times not made up. Could OOTP be modified so that if any games involving eliminated teams gets re-scheduled after the season end date, then the season could end and the playoffs could start without those games being made up?

The financial system was built around the idea that games couldn't be outright canceled. If the user wants to manually edit the schedule and cancel the games, they can do so.

Either way, all clubs playing out their full schedule every year is quite unrealistic, especially for earlier major league seasons and all minor league seasons. (One of the unique aspects of baseball is that teams routinely don't play out their entire schedule.) |

I've seen the developers use this argument, but I've never understood it. Let's say some teams play 81 home games and some teams play 80 or 79 or whatever. So what? Apart from depriving a few teams of some money, how does that disrupt the game's financial system? Can someone explain that to me?

I would even settle for the engine cheating a little bit and making sure games between eliminated teams who have no possible make-up date before the end of the year magically never get rained out.
