Suggestions and a small glitch

In future versions of OOTP, please allow us to edit players without having to start a season and be a commissioner. Let me create my own teams. If I buy the game its mine and I should be able to edit players at any time I want to. I suggest changing Historical Exhibition to just Exhibition so that every game isn't part of a series.

A small glitch I've seen is at the 7th inning stretch, "Take Me OUT to the Ballgame" isn't always played. I've seen that when the "PA announcer" says that the song will be played, it doesn't play.

You can create a league from scratch without having to start a season and go into commissioner mode. Just start the game and select "Create Custom Game"

Commissioner Mode is necessary, and certainly shouldn't be a game killer since you only have to select it once.

As I understand it, and certainly as I've experienced it, this is one of the three sound files that might be triggered prior to the home team coming to plate in the 7th inning. What you are hearing isn't a glitch, per se. That's simply the extent of that particular file. Whereas the other two files are versions of the song without any PA announcer introduction.

Don't disagree with the notion, but the truth is you CAN edit players any time you want to. You just have to be in "Commissioner Mode" in order to do so. If you want to always have that capability instantly, I suggest you set your manager profile to be in Commissioner Mode and then just leave it there forever. Problem solved!

It's an option in the game because:

a) Some people (present company included) don't WANT to have all of that power at our fingertips. I don't want to see every edit option in the game. I just want to be able to see, more or less, the things a manager could change in real life. (I set my leagues up with two human managers - my manager account without commissioner privileges, and a commissioner account. I play most of the time under my manager account, and if I ever need to do something commissioner-like, I log in with that account.)

b) It's critical for online leagues to function properly.
