When Do You Feel It Is Time To Give Prospects A Shot?

I have some good prospects but i am unsure when to bring them up. I am in 1st place by 13 games going into September. My AAA team is also in 1st place and their regular season doesn't end until the 15th. While i have a few FA, some of these guys would have to compete for a roster spot and none are likely to be a starter on OD. Campbell will replace either Minarcin or Stewart when they become FA's, or if I trade one away. I have 2 FA in the pen and currently have no plans on resigning them, which opens up a 7th inning SU and a LO spot.
My OF is good for the most part. The Rock, Miller & Baines are among the best in HR and RBI.I have space for at least 1 more OF but i would prefer not to have 2 LHB.
So should i even bother calling any of them up this season or just wait for ST?

Campbell should be facing higher competition based on those stats + your scout's assessment. You might risk stagnation in his development if you leave him at AAA.

I use a winter league though, so I'd just assign him to that and not call him up.

I think I'd probably call Gibson up. Can't hurt to have another team leader and he doesn't seem like a world beater, so I wouldn't be worried about losing a year of arbitration/roster control.

Can't hurt to bring up Campbell, Gibson, O'day and see how they compete. I would probably throw in O'day in the 7th when your weakest starter is up and platoon Gibson. Unless you care about winning in triple A =P

I have an awesome looking prospect (Int FA) that turns 18 in early September. Not 100% sure if I should bring him up to DSL ball or straight to low A(with a good hitting coach) or wait and see how his development plays out in the complex for now..

Any opinions are appreciated!

Pretty much agree with this. I generally err on the side of caution, and you're already in 1st place, so you're not desperate for an additional bat or whatever. So I'd probably wait until spring training, unless like polydamas wrote, it's a marginal player.

As for the int'l kid, I'd probably stick him at whatever level the AI suggests, and then check in on him once a month. If he's killing it or drowning, shift him one level.
