MLB Quickstart--Manage Only
I've tried this twice now with the same results. Started up the MLB Quickstart, and selected the White Sox as my team to manage(manage only). Things proceed normally for the first week. I get a few emails notifying me of transaction news. A promotion here, a demotion there. Then all hell breaks loose. I get like 10+ emails on the same day in regards to transaction news. I start looking at these emails. What they basically turn out to be is a loop in which the same player/players are called up, demoted, called up, demoted over and over all on the same day. I don't know if it's only my team that's doing this, as I haven't checked the other teams in the league. But, as I said, I've had this happen two times now.

If you have non-US leagues, the game starts this year on March 8. What generally happens is you will see a lot of players placed on waivers on March 9 (this is a fault in the game as a fair number of pretty good players hit waivers - and there is really nothing you can do to stop it), those players stay on waivers for several days and then claims get executed. That process then leads to your GM making a lot of strange but actually somewhat meaningless moves. Save the game and make a copy, run that a couple of weeks forward and you may see there is no real impact.

I play a lot with that QuickStart and never see that issue.

Do you ever manage only? I'm curious if what I'm seeing only occurs when using the "manage only" feature?
If it only happened once, I would have written it off as coincidence. But, I had it happen both times I created an MLB league and tried to manage only. Last edited by David Watts; 08-29-2018 at 07:57 AM. |

I play manage only and haven't seen this with my MLB club. I don't see it as much with this version, but in the past I've seen it with my minor league system. The same player would keeping getting promoted and demoted between different MiLB levels nearly everyday.

![]() Ugh, not sure what the deal is. I quit playing both times it happened, so I don't know if it's something that would have continued to occur. |

If it's happening to the same player each time, then maybe you could start the game in commish mode, go into that player and lock him to his current team? Then switch to manager only mode and start your season... dunno if this would work..?
