Beta Hotfix Patch 70 (Version 19.8.70)!

Hi guys!

Here's a beta patch that should fix the issues from the build 69 hotfix. This will be another hotfix if all is well.

Given how things have gone with the last couple patches and that it's still night in North American, we want to get some more eyes on this, so are releasing it here.

If your game was crashing when simming/advancing in build 69, can you try this and let us know if things are fixed?

I've downloaded .70 but am holding on to it while I see how it goes. The reason is .69 has fixed my game. I didn't have crash issues at all before.

I very much want to thank the developers and other workers who worked very hard to get this right. I kinda feel a bit like the bad guy as I was the one who started the thread on the troubled update. Good luck. And hope this works for everybody. Thank you.

You're not the bad guy at all, we really appreciate it and it helped us catch things sooner.

This hotfix set off my car alarm, started my blender, and released all the players on my fantasy baseball team. Not sure what's going on...

Actually it worked just fine. I was able to advance the day on my Mac and it did not crash.

I'm still seeing an increased lag between interacting with menus/changing lineups/playing out individual plays with this, same issue that the previous hotfix introduced. However, I never had any crashing problems and still don't with this one (Windows).

How bad is the lag and what are the specs of your system?

Seems to be working so far. As disappointed as I was at not being able to play last night. Thanks for being so responsive and for working hard to fix it.

The lag is annoying but not unplayable - enough of a change that it was immediately apparent (I'll usually play out 2-3 games a night as part of my evening routine and have for a week, so the different stood out immediately after patching).

AMD Ryzen 7 1700X, Windows 10, 8 GB RAM - let me know if there are other specs you need.

Okay, I'm embarrassed to ask this silly (relatively) new OOTP'er and not terribly tech savvy question, but....if I hadn't yet downloaded this recent update do I just skip straight to this newest hotfix patch or do I have to download sequentially? (I hope that makes sense and again I apologize for how uninformed this question is.)

No need to download sequentially, each release contains all the files needed to install the game from scratch.

Did you install the v69 hotfix? If so, then you'll definitely want to download this as you'll almost certainly eventually have problems. If not though, you can probably skip this.
