New Dynasty Report

Im looking to start a Challenge mode Dynasty and am wondering who a good team to start with would be. I dont know how i should approach it. i dont want to go with the Yankees or dodgers just because they are too easy with the big money, However i dont want to go with Tampa or Oakland for example because i want SOME financial wiggle room. I personally am a big fan of the rebuild and building a team the way i think they should be, however idk if i want to do that. any thoughts are appreciated!

Sounds like taking over a mid-market team would be what you want (avoiding the extremes of NY/LA and TB/OAK). Mid-markets are interesting because either you are on the cusp of success (think D-Backs, Rockies, Nats) and are tasked with making tough decisions on which players to resign and how to spend the limited funds you have wisely in Free Agency while being competitive or you are an aging team and have to decide to make one more run at it or officially start the tear down and rebuild (Cards, Orioles, Twins).

The Rockies always make for an interesting challenge due to park effects and whether or not you can solve the pitching staff puzzle that has yet to be solved IRL (although they have done fairly well the past 2 years). Baltimore is always interesting just because you are always competing against Boston and NY in your division.
