Game freezing

The game repeatedly freezing while playing games. Is there a way to make the game autosave in game? It even froze at the end of a 14-6 win.

How do you install the Hotfix on Steam?
I just loaded the game and tried to mess with my lineup and still had major slowdown and a no response message.

Same issue ^ downloaded the update that was provided through steam and still have the problem.

Caught a break in my day and did start up a league game.

Lineup screen still lags but not as bad as before.
Game also lags, again not as bad but it is still not nearly as crisp as pre-patch.
2D view is only viewing option, 3D is unavailable (not even there to click on).
Only played an inning but that is what I saw.

It's significantly better for the vast majority of users as the reports here pretty clearly indicate. So we are making progress for sure.

If it's not for you there's surely something unusual going on and what you are experiencing is likely not the same thing we've been seeing.

First of all are completely certain that the patch installed? Is it showing as version 70 on the start screen of your game?

Have you restarted your computer after installing the patch?

If so, and you're still having the same trouble, then it's possible that for some reason the patch isn't installing correctly on your system. The next step will be to do a complete manual uninstall and reinstall of the game on your system.

Are you on Steam or on the standalone? The method of doing the uninstall is different on each version so if you let me know which one you have, I can get you directions on doing that.

EDIT: I'll just include instructions for both here:




To do it on Steam, do the following:

Right click on the game in the Steam client, then click 'uninstall'. After that, there's an important step to do if you're on Windows.

Remove everything from here: C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 19\

"Appdata" is a hidden folder. One way to find it is to go to the start menu and type in %appdata% (include the percent symbols) in the search bar down at the bottom left and then browse to the config folder and remove it.

Then restart your computer and reinstall from the Steam client.




On the standalone, do the following:

Windows Vista/7/8/10 PC:

First off, navigate to the following location using Windows Explorer: C:\Users\[Your User Name]\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 19\

Make sure that you are inside of the folder "OOTP Baseball 19". If you don't have any customized files, then you should delete all folders in here except for the saved_games folder. If you have custom data files in addition to your saved games, then you need to be careful not to delete those folders that contain them.

Next, go here and remove the "OOTP Baseball 19" folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 19

After that, remove everything from here: C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 19\

Mac:

1) Open up a Finder window and go to the Go menu and hold down the option key (or alt key).
2) Now select Library from the menu (it's hidden if you don't hold down the option key).
3) From there, open up Application Support, then Out of the Park Developments and finally, OOTP Baseball 15. [If you have an older version, then change the "19" to the correct version number. Don't forget to do this on the lines below as well.]

Make sure that you are inside of the folder "OOTP Baseball 19". If you don't have any customized files, then you should delete all folders in here except for the saved_games folder. If you have custom data files in addition to your saved games, then you need to be careful not to delete those folders that contain them.

Once you've done all of this, the game is completely removed from your computer, except for your saved games.

Restart and reinstall from the latest download.

When playing individual games, I am having freezes but it appears ONLY when the pitch location widget is open. I'd guess that transitioning from some plays to the location on the widget is causing the freeze. If you could fix that it would be great.With it off, I think I am ok.

Lukas, just curious. While you guys are sorting out the gremlins, why don't you just re-release version 19.7.59 repackaged into an updated(number-wise) hot fix?

I say updated number-wise, because I've already tried reinstalling 19.7.59 but the game won't let me load my 1954 replay. It tells me something like "cannot load league because it was saved by a newer version of the game."

Anyway around this? (Besides starting 1954 over again.)
