Is there a way to only expand a league by 1 team?

I'm looking to expand my 12 team fictional league by 1 team since i don't want to dilute the leagues talent by expanding by 2 teams but if i recall it only ever gave the option to expand by 2 teams or more. Is there away around it, if that's the case, such as expending by 2 teams then deleting 1 of them?

I believe there are problems with scheduling when you have odd numbers of teams.

I'm pretty sure that you are only allowed to have an even number of teams. If I recall, it used to explicitly state that in the documentation.

To add only one team to a league at a time, you must use edit the "League Structure" for the league in question and manually at the team there, then immediately regenerate the league schedule.

OOTP 19 handles odd-numbered leagues fine unlike maybe 5 versions or so ago.

The caveat is that you cannot add only one team via Expansion Draft options; the route above will allow you to sign FA to the new club or fill with fictional players.

Never really noticed this problem before, but the game definitely handles odd-numbered leagues and is capable of generating a game schedule as long there's not interleague or schedule balance options conflicting.

If you expand by 2 and then immediately delete one of the teams (and their affiliates) you can go through the expansion draft with one team.
