Similar Soccer Game
Hey everyone. Does anyone know if there is a soccer game that is similar to OOTP where you can import historic players/teams into the game and play with both current players and players from the past?

Only soccer game I know like OOTP is Football Manager 2018. Not sure about historic stuff though you would probably have to research it

I get a headache every time I try to figure out how too play Football Manager(any version).
I know OOTP will never make a soccer game but there needs too be one out there with less detail and something very similar to the OOTP games. |

Football tactics and glory on Steam looks like a fun game. It's a turned based soccer game and there are mods for pretty much any league out there. I'm grabbing it soon for sure.

I purchased Football Tactics & Glory today and installed the United States mod and started with my hometown Saint Louis FC. I'm having a blast so far, it's a turned based tactical game and loads of fun.
Very accessible, great UI and easy to understand/play. (at least if you have some soccer knowledge) |

Frankly, after one season I wouldn't see the point of any historical database for FM. After a couple of Transfer Windows, and especially the frequency in which managers change teams in this game, the squads would look nothing like the original database after a short period of time. There is no "Historical Transactions" like in OOTP. |

Not that that is a bad thing. I have 400+ hours in that little gem.

Football Manager does not have a historical import or leagues. They are all player created and they are pretty lame. Football Manager is about current time and Miles, the guy who does most of the work for the game doesn't seem interested and most of the online community doesn't either. I have played every version of FM since '12 and each year one person on a forum asks if FM will ever have in game historical leagues and the idea always gets shot down. Stay away from Football Manager.

I meant more in terms of the tactical side playing the games/pulling up the midfield/covering strikers/etc.. I move my players without the ball just as much as the player with the ball.
