where did my league go??

I am playing on a mac; I have been playing the same league for several years now (importing into the next year's version.) Tonight my game crashed while it was simming and when I went back into OOTP- that entire league/game is GONE. Is it just...gone??

Do you occasionally save the game ??? or even back up the game ???

it auto saves once per week in the game. i do not do a league back up. but saving doesn't help when its just GONE.

somehow it's pointing to wrong folder, i bet.

double check Settings -> expert tab [sic] for correct data path.

also, in the game if you have changed the folder while loading a league, it will remain pointed to that directory later on too.... this can cause an empty list. so, when you 'load' a league check that it's in the ..data\saved games\ directory or wherever it is for your installation (at top of that load window that pops up - change directory etc).

if you didn't specifically and intentionally delete a league, it's not just going to go poof, i guarantee. however, it may very well say it cannot load, if/when you do find it... but between auto-save and backups you shouldn't lose much. usually just restores to last auto-save/save ... and if not you have to use a backup.

lol last edit i promise: use a search function to find the league before trying to point to the "right" directory.

NoOne- thank you for your response as well. It was very weird; I was simming midseason and the game crashed and when I opened the game back up, my league was gone. it was nowhere to be found.

I am back in business now though- thanks guys!
