Increased communication with managers
I enjoy playing as a GM only in a stats only environment. I would love if I could have more dialogue with my manger in relation to roster management.
For example I religiously use the sample lineup tab with a minor league player selected to see how my manager would use him. That btw is a great option! However, I would like to know why my manager would use certain players over others. If I have a .215 hitter playing RF and I want to bring up a AAA OF guy tearing the cover off the ball, and my manager would relegate him to pinch runner only, I would like to know the reasoning behind that. |

I would love more communication w/ not only your manager, but the entirety of your staff. Much like you can request a report for a specific player from your scout.
- Tasking hitting and pitching coaches w/ developing specific players and specific areas of their game, pre-game lineup/pitching suggestions based on season stats, à la The Show... where your staff will suggest sitting a guy because he's "batting under .200 against lefties" and what-not. - Tasking scouting directors to focus on a specific region of the world and/or scouting for specific positions internationally. - "Request lineup/pitching staff change" from you manager w/ a "success rate %" type system where he either agrees to or declines your lineup/pitching suggestions based on his willingness to let you make changes to the lineup. - Most importantly for me, the ability to task your Assistant GM with trading for a specific player or tasking him to shop a specific player around to other teams. When tasked with either of these, the Assistant GM will essentially go into background mode by evaluating trade offers just like the AI does w/ AI-controlled trades. He comes back to you w/ an offer, you can accept or decline/tell him to keep looking/negotiating. Whatever the case may be, the coaching personnel system could use a little more functionality, so I'm all for that. |
