Draft Pick Trading Issue?

Since the 19.7.56 patch and todays 19.7.59 hotfix I've simmed through a couple seasons and in both of them I stopped when the draft pool was announced so I could trade some first round draft picks. Both times the trades went through, however the new picks I should have acquired were still owned by the other team and the picks I traded were owned by the other team. Basically I gave away my first round picks for nothing.

I typically do a lot of trading during the season with players and draft picks and I know a bunch of my trades have gone through without a hitch. However, because these were first round picks, I was paying much closer attention. When it happened last season I just chalked it up to a random bug, but when it happened again this season, I'm thinking it's an issue with the latest patch.

I have a situation where I traded my 2nd round pick...when it came time to draft, the system seems to think that I traded picks 2 THROUGH pick 35 in a 35 round draft.

I did find a case where with an imported draft order (or, for example, in the first year of a new save, since we treat that as an imported draft order), then picks can get duplicated.

gemini615 - I haven't seen issues like you described, though, where the picks simply didn't transfer. Just to confirm so we can investigate further, you did some trades in a regular MLB game in May-June before the draft, and the picks did not fully transfer? If you have a save game after doing the trade but before the draft, if you could upload that that would be best, otherwise the more information you can provide about the setup and what was dealt, the better chance we have of finding the issues.

Matt, I currently don't have a save to upload pre-draft but if I encounter an issue during my next season I will save it and upload to you.

I play a 20 team fictional league starting present day but using stats and financials from 1920. I use the type a/b free agent compensation system as well. The majority of the rest of the settings are at the defaults Last season around May 6th (draft pool reveal date) I owned my own first round pick (18 I think) and the 20 pick which I got as compensation from another team for losing a free agent. I then packaged the 20 pick with an extra 6th round pick I had acquired from another team during the offseason to move up and get the overall 16 pick. The trade went through, but I never got the 16 pick. The 20 pick and the 6th rounder were now owned by the other team as well.

I don't recall the details from the year prior when it also happened.

But like I said, I do a lot of trading (much like what I described above) and haven't noticed any issues since you revamped the system for ootp19. Hence why I suspect it might be a new patch issue. I'll try to trade some picks during my next season sim tonight to see if I encounter anything.

Matt, since posting my last reply, I simmed another season and it happened to me again. I've uploaded my save to your server and it's called "draftpick-hiram.zip"

For this instance I stopped on May 6th and made 2 separate trades. My first trade went through with no problems....I swapped my 18th overall pick, a third rounder, and a fourth rounder for the number 10 overall pick.
That one worked.
Then immediately after I traded my second round, third round, and fifteenth round picks for the number 20 overall pick. The trade went through but the number 20 pick is still with the original team and I lost the other three picks I traded.

Thanks! Found the issue - we were tagging teams wrong sometimes on traded picks, so especially when you trade for a pick that they acquired from someone else (in this case, I guess it was from FA comp), then the game was getting confused and not processing that. We'll fix it for the next patch - unfortunately nothing that we can do about it for this for already dealt picks, but should be fixed for new stuff.

Sorry To highjack this thread but I am having an issue with the Draft Picks that I have never seen before. At this point I'm still in April and the White Sox have 6 draft picks to use, and the Twins have 4 teams worth of draft picks. I'm trying to get some Screenshots but I'm not the slickest at it. I would hate to start the season again since so much goes into it, but maybe there is an easier way to set all draft picks back at go. Any help is appreciated!

Most of all, thank you for such an amazing game and the community that comes with it!
