Cannot get game to load on laptop (Steam)

I had to head out of town for a week, so I loaded the Steam app onto my laptop and my league (dynasty is rink23's 2020 Cards: Yadi's last stand) onto a hard drive.
But when I stopped for the night and tried to start the game up, I received a message saying that I am already playing on another computer, do I want to override it so I can use this 'puter.
I give it permission and get a preparing to launch message box, but nothing ever happens.
I did a test run last night to make sure it would work and it seemed to go all right.
Also, the only other computer I play on, my desktop back home, is turned off.

Anyone?

Nevermind. Just needed to do a total restart.
