How to avoid Schedule Shuffling year-to-year?

Hey all,

I've been building an NCAA baseball world, and having some trouble with schedules. I created an NCAA schedule, where games only occur on Friday/Saturday/Sunday, and sometimes Tuesdays. It also plays random round-robin opponents for the first 8 weeks of the season (30 games), and round-robin IN DIVISION ONLY series for the last 8 weeks (24 games).

I'm running in to some trouble with that last part. For instance, I have my ACC teams with TeamIDs 1-12, and I can set the schedule so they only play each other to end the regular season. It works great in year 1! But, after year 1, OOTP has functionality to 'shuffle' teams such that the schedule is not identical year-to-year. But, when TeamIDs are shuffled internally (and not outputted anywhere), I can't ensure the ACC teams play each other at the end of the season.

Has anyone come across this problem, and found a way around the schedule Team 'shuffling'?

Thanks!

The "shuffling" should only happen between teams in the same division. So if the league's first division has 12 teams, those 12 should be shuffled.

Another option is to "trick" the game into thinking it's alternating schedules, but have the two schedules be the same (or a home/away flip of the same).

You could export the schedule before the start of the season and then import it again before the next (.league setup -> edit schedule).

export it, but also name it for your league.

e.g.
ncaa_ml.lsdl

otherwise i believe it will just rotatate back to the other schedule that fits?

that will still result in randomization of matchups after the first year, but still sticks to that schedule's format. if you want it the exact same each year make a copy of the schedule you exported and name:

ncaa_ml_C_a.lsdl
ncaa_ml_C_b.lsdl

it should rotate between those two in perpetuity as long as structure doesn't change, of course. ( "..._C_1" .2, 3... etc will work too)

if it's not a 'ml' league, name it appropriately. aaa, aa etc

always re-load the schedule to get it going the first time -- just the "a" file or the 1 file that results in different end of year matchups.
