League DH Rule Not Observed
I created a new Custom League, using version 5.01. Two leagues, 1 division each, 6 teams in each league. In League Setup, turned off DH for each league - "Designated Hitter = NO".
Went about my business of getting the league setup, and finally opened the season, and simmed straight to the All-Star break. Of course there were a few injuries, and trade offers to deal with along the way, but finally made it to July. At this point, I evaluated the players on my team, and determined who was worth retaining, and where I need to start addressing weaknesses. I noticed that both my starting and backup SS had 250+ ABs. Then I started checking box scores - the first of the 2 leagues had been playing with a DH! (the other was not). Its almost as if the game assumed I wanted the AL/NL rules, where league #1 is DH, and league #2 is not. I went back to League Setup just to be sure I didn't blow it - nope, both leagues still set to DH=NO. Also checked the league.dat file, bytes 690 and 864 are set to zero. What happened here?
