Infield Deep

For those of you who play out your games, do you ever use the infield deep alignment, and in what situations?

I play my games out but I have the AI set my defensive strategy. For the most part that works fine for me. To answer the question though you would use a deep infield in "no doubles" situations. The pulled back infield allows for the infielders to cover more outfield ground to take away some of the bloop stuff while still being able to charge a normal ground ball on the infield.

Play out all my games but let the AI control my defensive strategies as well

I usually use this alignment late in the games - I had tried using it regularly outside of shifts, but speedier guys kept laying down bunts for hits.

Seems like it also might be an option with two outs in the ninth, bases loaded, and you're up by two runs. IF can knock down something that might otherwise score two runs, while still getting a force.

I always let the AI set defensive strategy and if they do something I don't like it just helps me down the path of firing the manager.
