Milwaukee Brewers Issue?
Hello everyone, long time lurker, first time poster! So, not entirely sure where to post this.
As you can probably tell, I am a Brewers fan. I actually do not use them at all because I think they would be too easy to GM for. That being said...can someone please take a look at fixing the Brewers (mostly Stearns' preferences of veterans?). I was shocked when I actually clicked on Stearns and saw that. The Brewers are consistently finishing last in almost all my saves while Travis Shaw, Orlando Arcia, Aguilar constantly get demoted to AAA ball meanwhile Stearns signs Jhonny Peralta, Stephen Drew and Yunel Escobar. I understand that their success is relatively new but for some reason OOTP 19 still rates them like a 60 win team. Every other CPU controlled team seems to be very realistic this year (at least standings wise) outside of the Brewers. I've bought OOTP for the last 3 years and fall in love with it more and more with each iteration. I hope this doesn't come across as snobby or angry, I just want you to be aware to make the Brewers a more formidable opponent! I apologize for the poor formatting and possibly poor post but I thank everyone for taking the time to read it, if you did. |

I am also seeing the same thing. To see Shaw get demoted in particular is pretty wild. Not much respect for a guy who had the season he had last year

Everyone will continue to hate them until they cease to exist, all because of Selig
![]() Seriously though, I completely agree. I'm tempted just to re-rate them with their stats from either last year or this year and just roll with it. And for Stearns, I feel like getting his preferences close to Luhnow would be better. |

I also feel this way but can't tell if it's just fandom creeping in or if it's objectively off. Did they post the results of the 1,000 time simulation they showed on MLB Network? It would be interesting to compare OOTP's average record of the Brewers with another simulation like Baseball Prospectus https://legacy.baseballprospectus.com/odds/

Thanks for the reply's everyone. I think most of the ratings are pretty accurate for them (using my scout, never looked at exact ratings). Stearns' preferences baffles me tho, hopefully this will get an adjustment at the next roster update (trading deadline if they so the same as last year, right?).

I have played a few seasons now and the Brewers seem to be in a good place for overall success. Attached is a current season and they are tied for 1st with the Cubs.
