Need some help with this logo

I am looking for some help with a logo. I have used the circular logos in my league for a long time and now am converting to regular logos. I have found a league logo which I am really excited about but is above my skill level to produce.

What I would like to to take the Yomiuri Giants Logo and create an "L" with the bottom of the "Y". I gave it a try to show how I would like it to be done. I would also like the colors to be the Green and Yellow which I also added.

And to be resized to the standard 150 x 150.
