Searching for One Player

Is there a hot key I can hit to bring up a dialogue box to search for a particular player?

I tried creating a Custom Filter on last and first names but there appears to be no way to make it dynamic.

Please, please tell me I am missing the way of doing this.

Type his name in the search box (on the screen where the magnifying glass icon is).
