Expansion Protection

I'm new to the game with only about a week of playing. I'm in an historical league and it's time for expansion. I pick my original 15 players to protect but once the the draft starts, I can't determine how to protect additional players after I lose a player. Therefore I lose the best players after the original 15 without ever protecting another player.

I did find an older posting discussing this but without a resolution. Am I missing something or is this a flaw in the expansion process?

There's no way to protect players after losing one. The best solution is to increase the number of protected players to make up for that.

That's a real-life draft feature that's not in the game.

I encourage you to run some test drafts with different settings to see what you prefer. I'm happy with the defaults to create the typical MLB-type Devil Rays terrible expansion team with very little effect on the other MLB teams.
