Career-ending injuries?
I'm running a historical game where Three-Finger Brown suffered a career-ending injury in 1906 and was immediately released by his team. Bummer, but that's the nature of a simulation, I guess. Then, in 1909, I see him pitching with the Cubs and doing pretty well. What happened? Is this supposed to happen, or is it a bug?

it's part of the "Storylines" option under global settings/game settings. you can turn it off if you want.
you can also customize a file.. i don't recall it's exact location but either in main directory or in user directories where they stash "app.cfg". you can change injuries and likelyhood of lenght or whether any can result in a CEI. you could leave storylines on and remove any denoted for potential CEI in the injury file. don't remove the injury, but just remove the potential for cei. (i have not looked at this file in a long time.. could be wrong about the finer points.) |

You can have a career-ending injury with storylines turned off.
