Skins

I'm finding myself not completely in love with any of the skins this year. I'm getting used to the dark one, but I don't feel like it's perfect. I liked last year's default one, but I feel like the light one this year is a little too light.

OOTP classic isn't bad, but I hate not utilizing the team colors like the other two do so well.

Anyone agree?

I kind of agree. I keep switching back and forth between light and dark. I can't put my finger on it, but neither are working perfectly for me. OOTP18 light theme was great though.

"Can't quite put my finger on it"

Same for me. I don't know what it is either. I've tried a couple of fonts as well.

same.

been switching between classic & light.

dark just doesn't do it for me.

I LOVE the marbled look of the bars in classic, biggest reason I kept going back.

re: fonts, can't find a size or style that works for me. at launch, it was perfect. after, not so much. back to using OOTP 18 default, Auto size.

I found myself thinking the same thing. I just can't get comfortable with the skins this year. I'm using dark but not 100% happy with it. I like the marbled look of the ratings bars in the classic skin too! I also like the "pushy button feel" in the classic skin. The others don't have that. The light skin is just too light. I love this game and am playing it fine with the dark skin but I feel like it could be better. A couple more options would be great. I found myself going back to the OOTP18 default font too.

I'm using the Classic one without any complaints.

I wholeheartedly agree. I think the interface of this years game was a positive step overall, but I still can't quite get comfortable with any combo of skin and font.

Would really love the option to have last year's interface on this year's game

I literally had never noticed that until now. That looks really great.

I had the feeling that the screen was a little too busy or that the text was too large in comparison with how much of it was on the screen. Turning the font size down a notch helped me.

I've never liked the dark skins in OOTP, even though I usually use dark for every other thing that has the option. I always use light on OOTP

I think I found a combination that works for me.

- Screen resolution 2160x1440
- List skin
- OOTP 18 font
- Increased font size

100x better than any other skin, not sure why it isn't universal.

if I could take one or two things from each skin & combine them...

the box scores & background from light...
the marble bars & "wooden desk" feel from classic...
the dark PbP box from dark...

I'd be set. getting the small fire sans font to work *while keeping the bars same size) would be a bonus.

that said, still an amazing game if those are my biggest beefs.

Just switched to classic. Like others, the black bothered me for some reason, probably didn't look as clean and readable.

After all is said and done, I'm back to the light skin. Like many others, I like something from each skin, but they wear on my eyes after awhile, the white background is just much easier on my old eyes.

Finally got the small logos to show up nicely too after changing some of them.

THANK YOU modders!

Not sure what you people are talking about. It's all the same skins as last year and the year before, before that etc....they've just made the dark default.

Agree. I think it isn't the skins so much themselves, but the combination of the skins, the font, and the new UI layout.
