The 4CBA Wants YOU!!!!!

The 4CBA, a fictional league finishing up its third season, is looking for two owners to join us for 2004, our fourth season. We are a 24 team league that features teams from around the world competing for the most prestigious prize in all of baseball, the Conquistador Cup.

Currently, we are looking for owners for two fine teams.

The Stonehenge Druids won the first Conquistador Cup in 2001 and were a playoff team in 2002. 2003 wasn't as kind to the Druids, but under new ownership, they could retake their spot at the top of the Europe division.

The San Sebastian Explorers won the South America division in 2002 before bowing out in the first round of the playoffs. This year, the Explorers struggled to stay around .500, but could easily make the playoffs next year.

The 4CBA will be making the change over to OOTP 5 this offseason, for those of you who are looking for an OOTP 5 league with some history and dedicated commissioners. (In addition to the 4CBA, the Tri-Commissioners also run the CDL, which is starting its 17th season.)

Now, you might be asking, what sets the 4CBA apart from other leagues. Well, besides the commitment of the commissioners and the first rate owner base, it is the team and player names. I mean, where else can you pit your team against the Bora Bora Headhunter, the Bermuda Triangles or the Tahiti Booty? Even better, you can watch such legendary players as Hefty Hansen, Hobo Rasmussen and Rio Carnival Ace Thomas Stalker ply their craft. Also, as an owner, you get to add your own flair to the league every year, by renaming three of your drafted players. And the best young players in the league are all named after our former and current owners. Each owner in the 4CBA is memorialized by having their own player named after them.

What more could you want from a fictional league?

Anyway, after checking out our website, if you want to be a part of this fun and exciting league, fill out an application and we will get back to you promptly.

Thank you very much for your time.

If you like fictional leagues, don't pass up the chance to get into the 4CBA. It is a very well run and top-notch in every aspect.

More articles than you can shake a stick at and live Sim's make the 4CBA one of the most entertaining leagues around.

Of course if you do join you will have tough task of having to play Mongolia Horde, who are coming off a 107 win season, making them the best team in 4CBA history.

I hope Sean realizes that by saying the Horde is the best team in 4CBA History (which they are), the sim tomorrow night will provide him with his comeuppance as the sim gods never like a braggart.

Of course, part of the reason Sean's 107 wins are a record is the 4CBA's incredible parity. Only three teams in 4CBA history have won more than 90 games in a season. Just another reason to join the 4CBA.

The 4CBA might be the right league for someone who is new to playing in online leagues. The tri-commissioners and owners are both very experienced and the 4CBA has been the first league for a couple of owners. So, if you are interested, let us know by filling out an application.

The Grand Canyon Burros run by Jason Healey have just been crowned the 2003 4CBA Conquistador Cup Champions in a classic 7 game nail-biter series held live in a chatroom.

We are now blessed with Burro poo-gold as the website color of choice for the next season -- part of Jason's reward for winning the coveted Conquistador Cup.

All open teams have been filled but please drop by and fill out an application for any future openings if interested. We have moved to OOTP5 and anticipate many more hard fought Conquistador Cup battles.

I'm in 6 leagues. This was my first....and remains my favorite. I especially enjoy being the 4CBA's version of the Colorado Rockies
