1946: MLB Revitalized
Here is the premise for my new dynasty:
The year was 1916 and the U.S. was very close to entering World War I, the Summer Olympics were cancelled and Major League Baseball was shut down and disbanded. This included all affiliated minor league teams. This will be random debut historical MLB league with an inaugural draft date of January 1946. I have come up with this name, 1946: MLB Revitalized. In addition to random Major League players as selected by the game each year, I am manually drafting players from the below listed sources. Any player that only had a short MLB career, like Satchel Paige, will be eligible to be randomly selected. So, Paige, for instance, will be drafted as a young man. Maybe he will have a real impact on the game. Without the color barrier, he would have played 20 to 25 years in the big leagues. Negro League Players (NLP) Mexican Professional Baseball Hall of Fame (MEX) Pacific Coast League Hall of Fame (PCL) International League Hall of Fame (IL) Texas League Hall of Fame (TEX) The 13 players below were manually and randomly selected and added to the inaugural draft pool:

I will be holding the 1947 draft shortly. MLB players were randomly selected by the game. I then added extra non-MLB players from the following sources:
Negro League Players (NLP) Mexican Professional Baseball Hall of Fame (MEX) Pacific Coast League Hall of Fame (PCL) International League Hall of Fame (IL) Texas League Hall of Fame (TEX) These players were selected randomly and put into the draft pool manually:
Including the above players, the draft pool has 105 total players. |
