New to the game -- league setup questions

I just bought the game and am messing around with it now. I love it so far!

The league I want to set up is basically historical, with rookies going to their proper teams, etc. I wanted to begin in 1901 and evolve consistent with history until 1955. At that point, I'd keep the A's, Giants, and Dodgers in their east coast homes and spread west by expansion instead, eventually getting to 32 teams by 1998.

So, a few questions:

1. This all sounds doable, right?
2. When I expand, could I do it by moving Pacific Coast League teams into the AL and NL?
3. For other expansions, could I just do expansion drafts when I want them and name the teams as I please?
4. For the teams I force to stay on the east coast, could I assign different stadiums? Are there any fictitious stadiums in the database so I could have a major-league caliber stadium in, say, New Orleans or San Antonio?

You can do all of that but you had better start slowly; I know from experience you can do almost anything with and in this game. The trick is getting the moves and settings correct in your universe. I have had to blow up many of my saved games because I made an error when trying to add something new to my league. Be patient because every error teaches something new or at least what not to do, your universe, your way, have fun. There are a myriad of settings and unfortunately I have had to learn many things the hard way.

Yes, yes, yes, no but you could use the default major stadium for the expansion teams or download something from the mod forums.

Save often because yes you will make mistakes.
