A little help creating a simplified MLB universe

I'd like to create a MLB universe, but drastically cut down on the minor leagues (Ideally going with 3 levels, but 4 would be fine). Basically, merge Hi-A, Low-A and SSA into "A" ball. Maybe keep a rookie league, or just merge it into A. This is for a few reasons (Micro-management, CPU, efficiency). I'd rather have a 15 / 20 round draft then 35 and managing 7 minor league teams is tedious...

I'd also like to have a full feeder system.

Obviously I could just delete a few leagues, but I don't want to just dump a bunch of good prospects in FA and wreck teams farm systems.

Any suggestions how I can accomplish this without having to manually reassing a ton of players or creating carnage?

You could let the assistant GM and minor league managers handle everything. Doesn't help with efficiency but I only scroll through my minors occasionally to see if I have areas that I need to focus on in the draft due to lack of prospects.

I do something similar. I want each org to have equal amount of minor league teams and have only 1 league for each level.

Here are the steps I take make sure you are in commissioner mode:

1) Reset DL and Injury status for all minor leagues
2) Move all minor leaguers to AAA two options to do so
a) Use the export function and edit in excel
b) Players > Minor Leagues - select all for each team and promote
3) Delete Leagues A - R
4) In Game Settings Functions -Create new League levels for A, SSA, R (you could skip some levels if wanted)

Increase your AAA Roster size to 60 and same for AA.

Move all players in minors to those levels.

Delete lower level teams you don't want.

Run computer manager on all teams once you have organizations as you wish.
