Here We Go Again

I swore to myself that 18 was the last OOTP I was going to buy for awhile. Don't get me wrong.. I love OOTP. But the problems I see in the game have remained there and it just got tiring of getting a new version with new features and... those same old problems (mostly AI problems).

But I can't. I just can't. I have several Steam games with in excess of 1000 hours and at least 3 with 2000. I have been disabled since Nov. 24, 1999 and it's been gaming that's kept what little sanity I have left (if any). When I'm playing a game... I forget all about the pain.. or the fact I can't walk so well and some days at all... in those games I'm anything I want to be.

And if you added up all of the games I've played (like the 1000 and 2000 hour games above) you still wouldn't get to the hours I've spent with OOTP. I have always loved baseball. And I have loved OOTP. And all I can say is I'm glad the OOTP version of the game doesn't track hours because... well... that might be hard to explain. But having those hours spread out over the past 13 versions I guess wouldn't look quite so bad. At least that's my hope because I just bought this year's on Steam. Don't even know why actually. I don't really like Steam LOL. But was perusing the store.. and saw a 10% discount.. and realized there was no use in fighting it... and bought it.

Markus... this long winded post is really about one thing. THANK YOU. Thank you for making the game that has kept me entertained and pain free for more hours than all the others combined. When I think of it that way... it feels like I have an obligation to purchase. Because for me... the value per dollar spent... well.. it's just astronomical. I haven't even installed it yet. Just wanted to let you know you got me again.... and I couldn't be happier about it.

Thank you Markus and OOTP crew for all you've done and thank all of you other OOTPers out there who have helped keep this thing going.

Best. Gaming. Series. Ever.

Bar none.
