New rules in the mexican baseball league

The LMB Will now have split seasons. So what it means is that they will have to champions per season. Thier Championship series (Rey de Reyes or King of Kings series) will have 2 per year. SPRING and FALL. I dont know if this Format will be able to be Imitated in the game

The Texas League has a similar format. The team with the best record in the first half will face the team with best record in the second half of the season.

The LMB wants to copy the same format that the more popular soccer Liga MX has. I think it's a stunt and won't last. I can't stand the fluid and unsteady nature of Mexican baseball teams. Unlike in the US where you have franchises that usually (but not always) keep their history when they move in Mexico the history stays with the city and teams are always moving. Teams can suddenly just disappear stay dormant for years and just pop up again with a new owner but retain the same history. OOTP wasn't built to handle that.

Actually no it's different from that and there is just to play off one.in the first half and and one in the 2nd half. So it's like having 2 World Series in one year 81 ganes Then you have a whole playoff format in the World Series then after that you start the 2nd half After those 81 games you have another playoff and another World Series

Yep...It'll show in the schedule and it's set as a split season. First half is from 3/22-5/31 all-star game is 6/29 and second half is from 7/3-9/6 I don't think we can model the champion for each in ootp and I can't model it in the schedule. Maybe someday if I can get the changes to scheduling that I want.

Yes, I saw that as well. It's similar to what Japanese baseball did in 1937-38, with separate spring and fall seasons.

The Cuban baseball league (i.e. National Series) changed its season structure format last season, reducing the second stage to six clubs from eight, and adding a playoff between the 5th through 8th place finishers of the first stage to determine which two would move on to the second stage. (Interestingly, to determine the top four clubs which move on from the second stage, it's not the second stage standings which are used, but the overall standings, that is, a club's combined record of the first and second stages.)
