Does the Text to Speech work in OS X Version?

Running OOTP19 on Mac OS X and cannot get the text to speech to work on pbp. Game sounds work but no text to speech. Does this only work on Windows version?

I also have a Mac and have read that text to speech only works on Windows OS.

Yes, the TTS is only supported on Windows.

Two questions on this. Does the text to speech work on Steam if one is using a Mac?

What is the reason TTS does not work on a Mac?

I believe we use a Windows library to do the actual speech, and it would be a lot of work to port in a Mac library.
