OpenGL and Windows 10
I am running Windows 10 and it would seem that 10 no longer supports OpenGL in any version. Is there a work around for this problem since 3D functions are disabled?
Also, will this be a problem with OOTP19? |

this is about your video card, not he OS. maybe "windows update" is not set to download 3rd party drivers? from wiki sounds like it defaults to a less than desirable option.
so, update drivers from manufacturer's website and install their full suite of software -- intel, nvidia or amd -- one of those three will be your video card manufacturer. go to their website. (equivalent of win7 device manager will show name of vid card.. win10 display properties? (not a fan of win10 organization, lol. still foreign to me - it's all over the place) also there's a wiki for installing opengl if you continue to have a problem. possibly the "initialization" part of wiki? if you want pre-compiled binaries: just found in a google search.. due diligence required. http://glew.sourceforge.net/ http://www.opengl.org/wiki/Getting_started it's always safer to compile yourself for obvious reasons. if not comfortable with that, pre-compiled binaries are your only option. |
