Start date

First of all, just want to say how happy I am to have OOTP back again! Ok, so my question is the same that I asked for last years version:
Is there a way to push the start date back of a standard game? So it’s not March 27, 2018? Last year, the WBC was the way to do it. This year, it did not push the start date of when you take over the team back.

Depends how far you want to go. If you load all the international leagues I think it goes back to like March 8th or something. Probably you'd only need to load one specific league to get that to happen, whichever starts first. Not sure which one that is though...

Okay, thanks. If I use all the leagues, will that make the game slower? Yes seems like the obvious answer, but I’m hoping I’m wrong in that

Yes, quite a bit slower, depending on what your system specs are of course

Sorry to pull up an old thread but I had a question that is basically the reverse of this- is there a way to roll the start date back to end of March instead of the beginning if using international leagues? Is it known if it's a specific league that pushes the start date up or is it just any international league?

Hey, sorry to bump an old thread, but has anyone figured out which specific league sets the start date back? Or is there anyway I could check it myself? I haven’t had any luck trying to figure it out. Thanks.

when you add the league in creation process, check start date in options for the schedule portion.. the one that's the earliest is what you want. i don't know offhand as i never activate these other leagues.

add all, cehck start dat under schedule options, then delete what's not needed...

i'd actually recommend saving a template before you add those leagues, then start over by reloading your template.. jsut in case it leaves players behind? not sure.. but use a template to "restart' at exact point before you added any leaugeu, then add the one you need.

can delete it and it's players after you start too... that won't change the date at that point and no slow-down.

other option.. start "1 year early", sim to next "march 1" or preseason etc.. then clear stats/history if fictional and you are starting fresh at the date of your choice. probably not an option if using real players... this will add a year of fictional stats to their history etc and deleting history isn't likely a viable choice either.
