Save Game during Game Disabled?

I noticed that I used to be able to save and leave the game, then save on the main screen, but that seems to be disabled now. Why is that?

I liked the option of being able to leave a game mid-way through if necessary and come back later. Sometimes I have to make a quick OOTP exit

That should still work if it's a regular season game and you started it normally.

I got a message that said something like "Please finish the real time simulation" or something like that.

I had clicked "Save and Leave" which allowed me to get to the main screen, but it wouldn't allow me to click save.

Oh wait a minute. Does that mean I had to stop the BNN simulation? How do I turn that off?
