Can't put a starter on the depth chart

Not a bug. If a player is a primary starter, they can’t also be a backup to another position. If this was possible, it would leave you with an empty spot in the lineup.

Not true. Then the backup at the position would start.

Real life example: I want Matt Davidson and Nicky Delmonico to share DH; while Davidson backing up Yolmer Sanchez at 3B and Delmonico playing some LF.

I have been able to do this in prior versions, if not 2018, then 2017 and prior.

On the lineup screen, uncheck "Auto-Sync Lineups & Depth Charts" and it'll work.

Uncheck the 'auto sync lineups & depth charts' option and it should fix. I've ran into this issue at launch in prior versions, as well.
