Draft eligible players issue fixed?
So, like all of you, I cannot wait for this game. This might be the best iteration in many, many years in terms of upgrades and overall aesthetic appeal. Cannot. Wait.
I do have a question, however, about a relatively minor but annoying issue that has been in the game since I started playing it many years ago. When players are drafted out of high school and not signed, they should not be eligible for the draft for three years (understanding there are some exceptions with this like JuCo and eligible sophomores and such) and yet they always appear again in the next year's draft. Is this being addressed in the new game? Is it something I'm doing wrong? Like, do I have to have high school and college feeder leagues to avoid the issue? Is there some setting I'm just not finding? My workaround as been to shortlist all unsigned players out of high school and organize them into lists based on their next eligible draft year and then pop into commissioner mode for the draft and manually draft all 35 rounds--hence the irritation. |

If you use feeders, you can set a draft eligible age for HS and COL feeders (and JUCO if you had one of those), then when a HS player doesn't sign and is picked up by a COL team, he should then have to stay in COL until he reaches the draft eligible age for that feeder.
