Saving on external harddrive?

Hey fellas,

I was wondering are you able to save the ootp file where the save game files are stored and save it onto an "external harddrive" where the game can read off the external harddrive and not off the cpu harddrive?

I like to to move the ootp file to my external harddrive for less space taking up on my cpu, but the game doesn't seem to know how to find the file so it can load it.

Thanks for any help

Clay

you'd want to ensure it always has the same letter when attached, or the path will be non-existent and of course not work. google for steps on a static drive letter for external drives and your os (win7 or win10 or macos etc)

if you don't add and remove external drives and flash drives, no worries... it won't magically change on its own. if you always add it "first" no worries either.. it willl get the same letter each time. don't attach a flash drive, then the hdd or hte letters may swap.

when app first loads, click settings before loading any leagues. main splash screen of app. expert tab? if not, 1/6 tabs to check. you can change saved game folder to the external hdd.

you can manually traverse to the external hdd when you go to load a game, too. it merely starts in the current saved game folder. but, setting it would save time, of course.

future ref - cpu hard drive = internal hard drive in case you ever chat with tech support on phone from 'india' .. they may not follow well with that sort of thing if 2nd language. message recieved here, np.
