Game freeze for first time in year 6...

I have experienced my first game freeze. It occurs in the same game (during the divisional series that I play), and this is the only time it has ever frozen.

I'm running a 1.8 Ghz PIII
500+ ram
direct x 9.0
win Me
on a sesame seed bun.

On another note, does the game not seem to 'let go' after shutting it down? it seems to be a bit of an octopus and for whatever reason seems to not completely give up what it was utilizing from the computer before.....

Have you rebooted your system recently?

I did reboot the system this morning after a defrag overnight. Hope this helps...

Ok, try going into the league setup and run computer manager for all teams then try again. This is an issue that had come up several versions back but don't remember it happening lately.
