A suspended game has corrupted my league.... and I am depressed :(

On May 18th, 2020, the 4th year in my league, my team's game was suspended for the first time. I've had rainouts, but not a suspended game.

A couple days later, I notice something weird, so I begin investigating.

Oh no.

Every box score from 5/18/20 shows strange results. A 7-3 game that shows one team's pitchers with 0.0 innings and the other team's with 1.0. Only 5 hitters in each lineup, and each lineup only shows one RBI and one run scored, etc.

If I click on a hitter, I see three games from 5/18/20.

I haven't backed up since the season started, so I am losing literally 50 hours of "work".

I am depressed.

Man, that sucks. Nothing we can do but sympathize. Although, now you know what to do in the future!

My best advice: start a historical single season replay league immediately. Move on right away.

Eventually, you'll come back to that league and begin again.

Thanks man. I appreciate it. Has anyone else had an issue with suspended games? Is there an option to remove suspended games as a possibility?

OOTP is amazing, but man, they have to work on stuff like this. I can't back up the game every 5 hours of game play, it takes too long and too much hard drive space. Any advice from anyone on that point? I play out all my games in one-pitch mode.

Are the actual player stats somehow corrupted, or just the boxscores? It's possible something simply screwed up in boxscores generation, although if actual player stats for the day got doubled somehow obviously that's another story.

Otherwise, the is a flag in the league settings schedule options to disable rainouts. That will prevent this from happening.

heh, save the files in second location and go delete some box scores and messages, lol... worth the shot. if you don't mind losing that info... player/league/team stats are still there intact no matter what, if it works.
