Is there a way to transfer logo settings between two saved games?
I decided to reset my solo sim because I had abused the AI too much and made the game boring. Now, in my sim I had renamed all minor league teams and assigned them new logos (using the OOTP default ones...basically I gave minor league teams the historic logos for their respective ML teams).
I wanted to keep all my setup work intact (and there was a lot of it...selecting new logos, ballcaps, jerseys for all 4 minor league levels of 32 teams), so I decided that I would delete all players and erase all history for my current solo league, export it as a template, then start a new league with it and generate a new player pool. Everything worked fine, except that for some reason team logos do not transfer over correctly. I think the problem might have something to do with the fact that I made the nickname for every minor league team the same as it's parent team and only used different cities. I know that if jerseys + ballcaps get messed up, you can simply transfer the ballcap.dat and jersey.dat files to your new save. But logos seem to be saved differently. Can anyone help me? |

Logos are saved in the main logo file, no where else. You may have to manually reload these from each team's logo/uniform page. I know I have had to do this with my template rebuilt leagues.
This is a bit of a pain. However it does work and no one has come up with a better work-around.

if named properly you can move them and they should auto-load. look at exisitng files and check manual about this.
may need to do a full re-check when you load the league. that is a check box option on the window where you select league to load. it will auto-load logos / uni's etc based on city/nickname and files named appropriately. in fact, if your custom files are also located in the main data folders it should find them even without manually moving files. future leagues will use them when they match too. plop them over anyway before you check logos and such on loading. maybe that will default to the local league files first before teh data directory files -- safe assumption. anyway, city and nickname for the file names ... just mimic what you see for other files. if your logo matches an existing city/nickname file, you may have to manually fix those. just add a _x at end or something. i believe manual mentions making folders for cities can work too? |
