Retirement

From what I can remember in OOTP4 players would send me and email telling me they are going to retire when the season is over. I have not seen this in OOTP5 or I am missing it. Is there some reason why it is not in this version? Was it forgotten? Has anyone else notice this?

I've recieved several. March 26th 2003, every time, Barry Larkin sends me his notice. Poor guy ends up picking splinters out of his backside by mid-May.

So you find out who retired right before the season is about start. Isnt that kind of late.

No, he's informing me that the current season will be his last. As a matter of fact, I believe the wording of the email is verbatum from OOTP4.

Yeah, I just had my star CF Billy Hamilton tell me he is retiring.

do they always suck in their last year (if they notify you they are quitting) or is it possible for them to have one last good year?
