Trading problems

I am currently doing a challenge mode simulation of the Oakland Athletics, and I am trying to trade a bunch of players over to the Red Sox for Rafael Devers and Jay Groome. I have submitted multiple trade requests in which the AI GM says that if I add a player (in this case Matt McBride), we will have a deal. However, when I add the player, I am never able to complete the deal. Is this part of the game? If not, is this a common problem or is there any way to fix it?

That should work. If it's not working it's likely a bug.

he added mcbride and i'm assuming the ai gm had a more positive response afterward.
