Quickstart - 2017 MLB season as of 22nd Dec
Download here - https://www.dropbox.com/s/f6046ot4ev...quick.rar?dl=0
Copy the folder into your 'Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 18\quickstart_games' folder I decided to update the 2017 season by going day to day through the year updating each transaction as it happened, as well as the draft with all the correct players on each team, and also the offseason deals which have happened so far. I can't promise this is 100% accurate, but it should be close. If you want to start playing and have everything as it stands right now in real life, you should find this very useful! If you find any glaring errors or mistakes, let me know. Or anything blatant I've missed (there's bound to be something...) - EDIT: Matt Moore! I knew there would be one! hah Enjoy, and Merry Christmas! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What's included: * This quickstart has a start date of December 20th 2017. * All transactions from the 2017 season are up to date on the day they were completed * All the players who declined their qualifying offers have compensation attached * The first 10 rounds of the first year player draft are on their correct teams * International signings are on their correct teams * Major league coaching staffs are up to date as of December 22nd (Cora, Boone, Hinske etc) * Major league injuries are up to date as of December 22nd * All offseason transactions (so far) are updated (Stanton, Longoria, Ohtani, Santana and dozens more) * Retired players updated (Beltran, Cain etc) What's not included: * Stats and standings are simulated and do not reflect the real MLB season * Minor league coaching staffs are not updated * No international leagues have been altered (Ohtani is on the Angels though) Last edited by philthepat; 12-23-2017 at 08:28 PM. |

Thanks for this, it makes the downtime between ootp 18 and 19 more bearable.

After spending a couple hours going over the rosters, I could only
find a couple of edits. Matt Moore (SF) to Texas and Sam Wolff (TX)and Israel Cruz(TX) to (SF). Henry Owens (AZ) to (LA) Edison Volquez (Miami) to (FA) and should be injured for a year with UCL. Thanks for your hard work, its appreciated. |

Looks good. Know the Computer makes some Roster decisions like Duenez as Royals 1B. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/...ns-122317.html and also other Minor League signers to. Piscotty still on Cardinals.

Does anyone know where I can find a MLB 2018 schedule that I can load into the game? I would like to start this and then go into the 2018 schedule but not quite sure how to do it .......

I assume the schedule creators are waiting for game times to be announced... which is weird, because usually someone just takes a crack at it with all games at 1905.

Also if you do Expansion Draft it messes up Schedule so better to do it after Preseason has started. Another thing is DL can't be used in Offseason like in real life. Another thing that missing is Independent Leagues and some other Overseas Leagues but most gives problems that and have to just delete them.

Philthepat: I dug up an ancient account I only used once or twice to say this...
THANK YOU! For real, I can't tell you how much I appreciate the work you put into this and it's going to get me through the dark offseason months until the next version drops. Cool stuff like this needs to be recognized, so kudos to you! |

What part isn't working?
You need to open the .rar file... extract the folder inside to your 'Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 18\quickstart_games' folder Then open the game, and select 'New Quickstart Game' and select the quickstart called MLB-Dec |

Phil, is there any way you could share solely your draft result CSV file? Thanks in advanced!

Hi,
I created the real 2018 draft order acc. to http://m.mlb.com/draft/2018/order for this quickstart. You can download the draft.csv here. Download draft.csv To apply, place this file in \Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 18\saved_games\[NAME OF SAVEGAME]\import_export\ and import in Commissioner mode. Competitive Balance Round A is shown as Supplemental Round 1 in the game, however, Competitive Balance Round B is just shown as additional Round 2 picks. Hope this is helpful. |

2018 MLB draft order
Sorry for the double post. I didn't realize my account needed to be reviewed before posts were shown, so I replied twice.

Anyone played through a season or two of this quickstart? I'm planning on using this file for my last big play through on OOTP 18 (and may stream it!), so I just wanted to get some info from others.
Thanks for your efforts philthepat! |

I download the rar and when I try to open i get this. Can not open file 'C:\Users\Raymond\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 18\quickstart_games\MLB-Dec.quick (1).rar' as archive. Any ideas for a fix.

Can someone explain the process - perhaps a step by step, on how to get this Quickstart to work. I have been trying for over 2 hours now to download and/or extract this file, whatever - all I know is I cannot figure it out.

1) Download the file 2) Open the ZIP/RAR 3) Drag it into your Quickstart folder (if you did default, then OOTP is in your Documents folder) Here's the file path on my machine: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 18\quickstart_games |
