What's the best way to make major roster changes?

How do you guys work through roster changes? I've been thinking about doing some fun stuff with roster packs but there would be a ton of work to be done if I did it all in game.

Is there a way to mess with exported files instead? Or is in-game, through player profile, to editor, for each player the only way?

You can export the rosters to a file. It'll be a .txt file. Just change the extension to .csv and open it in a spreadsheet editor, make whatever changes you want, and then import them when you're done.
