3 things I've been wondering about OOTP5

Thing 1: I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but why do player ratings sometimes differ between the Roster screen and the Player Trade screen?

Example below...

In my roster screen, catcher John Buck's ratings look like this:

Batting Average: 5 (Talent GOOD)
Homeruns: 6 (Talent BRILLIANT)
Drawing BB's: 3 (Talent AVERAGE)
***** stars

But if you search for him using "Find Player" in the Player Trade screen, his ratings look like this:

Batting Average: 3 (Talent FAIR)
Homeruns: 4 (Talent GOOD)
Drawing BB's: 3 (Talent AVERAGE)
*** stars

I'm sure it's got something to do with my scout's regard of him versus his "real" ratings. This happened in OOTP4 as well, so I'm wondering if this isn't a "feature" I'm not aware of.

Thing 2: Does anyone know what exactly the difficulty ratings influence in Manager mode? I've got a feeling all it does is increase owner pressure and maybe team chemistry, but does anyone have any hard evidence? Personally, I'd like to see difficulty ratings that influence things like player development, trading AI, and salary negotiations, but it seems to me these things stay the same regardless of difficulty rating.

Thing 3: There's no way to turn a position player into a pitcher or vice versa, is there? I've got a 19 year-old reliever with no pitching talent to speak of, but a 6 rating in batting average. I want to conduct my own Brooks Kieschnick/Ron Mahay experiment!

Thing 1 - I believe in the search areas the scouts are "average".

Thing 2 - I don't know all of the details, but I believe it is just the pressure of the owner.

Thing 3 - By using the player editor but no other way. Not even this way if you are using manager mode.
