Crashing after customizing game.

I started a game and customized league setups. For the MLB I deleted the divisions and leagues and moved a bunch of minor league teams into the international league and had promotion and relegation between the two. I combined the Japanese, Taiwanese, and Australia leagues into one, and combined the Mexican and Cuban leagues and just have 3 big mega leagues.

The game runs fine when I have it like this.

Then for some reason when I add AAA leagues to each of these I get crashing. Crashing when advancing to days where there is a new activity (such as an expansion draft) and when I start modifying things like roster sizes or in the case of the combined cuban league their limits of foreign players.

Any ideas what could be causing then? If I delete the AAA leagues again everyone once again works fine.

I save after everything I do, game crashes often. Not sure why.

ya for this issue though I ALWAYS crash so saving doesn't help lol.

I did a historical game from 1919-1985 and didn't crash once.

good idea to post this in the bugs part of the forum, shoot one of the developers an email (or pm) and upload your files so they can look at them. Lucas Berger has all the details of how to do that in his signature on any of his posts. Good luck. That sounds really weird and VERY frustrating. All the custom leagues i've done have worked good, but i've done nothing as expansive as your league. Again, best of luck.

I actually figured out much of what was causing the crashing. The AAA leagues needed random players filling them for it to not crash, i thought the major leagues would populate them but it didn't work t hat way.

However the "relegation" league for MLB if I give them a AAA league that crashes even if it does have a proper roster so I still have a crashing issue in a way lol.

I haven't had the game crash once. I mean literally, not one time. And when I had OOTP15, it didn't crash once. Of course, I haven't removed all of the league structures and tried to rebuild them, so there's that.... I did delete the lower minor leagues, but that did not cause any problems at all. Probably as you found, you can create a crash by removing things, rearranging them and then trying to add it back.

my game crashes often too but its a shame the game doesn't have a feature that goes back to the previously saved point. without having to back it up every season or couple months. Sometimes my PC just shuts down when it doing a save causing the game to crash and it only happens with game being open. NEVER outside the game as I have tested it on other games on laptop or just leaving it on for days at a time its only when it saves as I do a save every 2 weeks in off season or after every game during season
