Traded player remains on old team's 40 man roster

Experiencing a problem in SSG Baseball, an online daily sim league (sim one day at a time)

On 12/05/17 Brandon Drury was traded from the Braves to the Dodgers.

Drury is moved to the Dodgers but we have found that Drury is still on the Braves 40 man roster and are unable to remove him from it, he is not on the Braves 25 man roster.

Interestingly on Drury's player page it lists the last time he was traded 12/05/17 but from Arizona, his history page correctly states he was traded from Atlanta.

Have attempted to clone Drury, then delete, no dice.

Any ideas would be welcome

don't know, but a thought ... did you retain part of his salary? i had a similar issue when i traded a player and didn't realize i retained some of his salary for 2 years. As i recall, after that he was off my 40 man roster until his contract expired. i can't recall the exact details, and i deleted that league earlier this summer.

But no, there was no salary retention as part of the deal

I doubt cloning Drury and deleting the original would work, but it's worth a shot.

(And while we're talking about SSG, can someone remind Mike to take me off the email list for the college football league?)

Found a solution and Matt Arnold very kindly got back too me with the same solution :-)

Had an idea at 2.30 am GMT how to sort.

Moved Drury back to the Braves via the player editor function, then back to the Dodgers.

This updated Drury's player profile page as well stating he was traded by Atlanta and not Arizona.

Drury was on LAD's active roster, had to add to the 40 man manually.

Sorted - thanks to Matt and everyone with suggestions for helping out.
